                            Navratri, as the name suggests, is a nine-day long festival of worship of Maa Durga. The word Navaratri in Sanskrit means'nine nights'; it is made up of 2 words- nava which means nine and ratri which means nights. Sow barley and wheat in the altar. Then add green cherry leaves, panchamrit, durva in the Kalash and then tie the sutra on it. After the kalash is set, pray to Lord Ganesha and then put in Goddess Durga's idol onto the side of the altar. Workship Maa Durga and provide her flowers, incense, lamp, etc and then the devotees can disperse the offerings to everyone.
